A Hot Sauce Shortage & The Oval Clash💥
This Week in Review☕️: The White House retaliates aggressively post public fallout | Are you a fan of Sriracha? | Climate Change might soon affect your dinner plans | The Oscars highlights | Spring
Quick Bites:
World Politics🌍: The world saw a fiery Trump-Zelenskyy clash in the Oval office this past weekend.
In an extraordinary public confrontation, President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy had a major fallout at the White House, threatening global peace.
Zelensky walked into the White House thinking he was Bibi Netanyahu, but found out he was Justin Trudeau lmao
PS. Its crazy how Trump negotiates? The way he always has Biden and Obama’s 🍖 in his mouth is wild.
And the BALLS on that reporter to ask Zelensky about wearing a suit?
Meanwhile, they don’t say SQUAT to Elon who is roaming around the White House in t-shirts with slogans similar to the ones you might find for 50 cents in a boardwalk tourist shop by the beach🤔
He also famously wears mirrored visor sunglasses to indoor meetings, similar to what you might see at a high-stakes poker game or.. to cope with a hangover.
FYI. The comedian Larry David once joked that "only 2 types of people" wear sunglasses indoors.
One is the blind. The other is a word we cannot write here. Literally. For legal reasons.🤐
Key Highlights, reported by CNN
💡Why did they meet:
To finalize a minerals deal to support Ukraine against Russia
💡The result:
The meeting imploded, with Trump and VP JD Valnce berating him in front of reporters for "gambling with World War III" and "not being thankful enough"
Post-meeting Global Response:
💡Zelensky: “It's crucial for us to have President Trump's support. I’m thankful to President Trump, Congress for their bipartisan support, and American people.
💡Trump: "I have determined President Zelenskyy is not ready for peace. He disrespected the USA in the cherished Oval Office". As of today, the US has paused all military aid to Ukraine.
💡The European Union: Zelensky’s “dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people” and "It's clear that the free world needs a new leader"
💡Russia: Russian officials reacted with glee to Friday’s tense meeting. Dmitry Medvedev, the former Russian president, said Zelensky had “finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office.”
💡UK: Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced a four-step plan to guarantee peace in Ukraine- and said Europe must do the "heavy lifting"
💡NATO: Chief Mark Rutte: called the fractious Zelensky-Trump meeting “very unfortunate.”
Our Thoughts💡:
We don’t get it. So Trump's advice to France in 1917 would have been to declare a cease-fire, and allow Germany to keep Belgium and the occupied portion of France?
All for “peace” ????🤯🤯🤯
In case you missed it, here are some Key Highlights about what happened post the meeting:
💡UK will finance Ukraine with an additional £1.6 billion of exports to buy an extra 5,000 air defence missiles
💡Zelensky also visited King Charles at Sandringham on Sunday
💡Ukraine is still willing to sign a US minerals deal, Zelensky said, after not signing it during his explosive Washington visit
💡The UK and France also proposed a potential one-month truce between Russia and Ukraine
Food🌶️: If you're a fan of Sriracha (and who isn't ?) you’ve probably noticed there haven’t been many top brands available on the market the past few months.
This is mainly because of extremely dry weather in Mexico, causing red jalapeños, the main ingredient in sriracha, to fail.
Large areas of farming in Mexico rely on water from the Colorado river, which has itself been depleted in recent times.
Mexico is by far the largest producer, but you can also find red jalapeños in New Mexico, Texas and California- regions that have all been suffering a mega-drought over the past few years, Forbes reports.
Even peppers- a heat-loving veggie, are starting to suffer the consequences of climate change.
To put it simply: Climate Change > Drought > Bad Peppers > NO MORE HOT SAUCE FOR OUR MORNING EGG AND CHEESE SAMMIE 😫😫

And the year just started but we keep pushing forward. Stay strong, fam! 🤯🙏🏻🙏🏻
The online market for sriracha is so hot (pun intended) that bottles of top brands like 'Huy Fong Foods' are going for over $100. Amazon and eBay resellers are jacking up prices as as high as $120.
Our Thoughts💡: We've attained a bottle of liquid gold during the Great Sriracha Shortage of the 21st century. We will be starting bidding from $5k next month.

Entertainment 🎥 : Speaking of.. ‘Anora’ wins Oscar for Best Picture.
Umm our first time hearing of this movie tonight
Led by breakout star “Mikey Madison”, who just won best lead actress, "Anora" is a dramatic comedy.
The Plot: The story of a Brooklyn stripper who is summoned to dance for the spoilt son of a Russian oligarch because she speaks his language, eventually falling for and marrying him.
Once the news reaches his parents, a wild adventure begins, spanning New York City and Las Vegas.
Great, just great! Another picture of a low-income sex worker who marries a rich guy, so original ✋
The director of the film is ‘Sean Baker’.
He made it a point to emphasize that "Anora" is an independent film: "We made this movie independently. If you're trying to make independent films please keep doing it, we need more. This is proof"
"We made this with very little money, but with all of our hearts. To all the dreamers and young filmmakers out there: tell the stories you want to tell. Tell the stories that move you. I promise you, you will never regret it,"
-producer Samantha Quan said.
