Buttermilk & Birth Control 💊
This Week in Review ☕️ : The Original Instagram Feed is back | Will Smith might face Oscars expulsion | The Worlds Most Polluted Cities | Climate Change and Air Pollution closely interlinked | Travel
Quick Bites:
Social Media 📱: The original Instagram feed is back! 🙌🏻 The tech giant will once again allow users to view their feeds in chronological order.
Guess the Zuck heard us loud and clear- chrono is back! Took nearly 6 years but 'bout time! 🙏
Users can choose between Favorites and Following, which will either show you the latest posts from a specific accounts you select or from people you follow.
However, the company said they do plan to add "more recommendations based on your interests" over time, WSJ reports.
Our Thoughts💡: Tbh, it's kinda annoying not being able to see the content of people we follow.
It's more of content Mark Zuckerberg thinks we "should" see, instead of what we really "want" to see.
Alternatively, IG could just keep it super simple with ONE feed in chronological order, only showing the people we actually follow.. just sayin' 🤷🏻♀️
Oscars 2022 🏆 : So Will Smith smacked a dawg and won an Oscar 5 minutes later that was some epic sh*t 🙌🏻
Well, tbh if Smith hadn't done it, we wouldn't have even known the Oscars were happening.. 🙈
Meanwhile, the audience's expression when Will Smith hit Chris Rock on national television👇🏻
Despite the Oscars getting a ton of extra attention, the academy has started a "formal review" of the incident with Smith's 'Best Actor' award possibly being revoked.
The actor might also face "suspension of membership or expulsion", as per The New York Times.
Our Thoughts💡:
💡Will Smith assaults Chris Rock for a joke he made about his wife: He should be stripped of his trophy
💡Harvey Weinstein convicted of sexual assault from over 80 women and currently serving 23 years in prison: Not one single person wants to strip him off his trophy
Smith has since apologized: "I was out of line and I was wrong."
Rock has declined to press charges post the incident. Hmm🤔.. probs because Chris Rock's upcoming comedy tour has seen a spike in ticket sales post the altercation, according to Complex.

Healthcare 💊 : Human trials begin on new male birth control pills with 99% efficacy, Toronto Star reports.
Finally, some pressure off women 🙏

💡Researchers found it dramatically reduced sperm counts
💡No observable side effects
💡Early testing was done on male mice
💡"Condoms are single-use and prone to failure,"
💡"In contrast, vasectomy- a surgical procedure- is considered a permanent form of male sterilisation" and can be expensive and isn't always successful"
💡"Scientists have been trying for decades to develop an effective oral contraceptive but there are still no approved pills on the market."
Food 🥛 : The World's first dairy-free buttermilk is here and it's made entirely from ancient grains.
Plant-based company 'Mill It' created the 1st commercial buttermilk by fermenting grains like millet and sorghum to give the milk it's traditional taste, Vegan News reports.
“Buttermilk is the main ingredient in salad dressing and since most early plant-based dressings used fatty oils or unsavory vegetable purées, we wanted to make something that would taste better and be healthier for consumers”
-Mill It
Besides savory items like coleslaw, cornbread and curry, vegan buttermilk can be delicious when used in sweet recipes such as baked goods, pancakes, and smoothies, Veg News reports.
The plant-based foods market to hit $162bn by the next decade, Bloomberg Intelligence reports.
The current value of the market is $29.4bn as of 2021.

Although they may seem to be two very different issues, climate change and air pollution are closely co-related.
This is because Global warming, essentially, is caused by a blanket of pollution that traps heat around the earth.
This comes just as it was reported that rising temperatures could threaten all future Olympic games as cities will struggle to find enough snow and ice.
“No sport can escape the impacts of a changing climate."
Unbelievable, right?! Imagine we could lose the most prestigious celebration of the winter (also, the only time to binge on cheese fondue and hot chocolate- complete with toasted marshmallows, meringue and whipped cream- in the name of sports! )
One more reason to act fast against the rising air pollution!
Our Thoughts💡: Meanwhile, Barack Obama is building a multi-million dollar oceanfront mansion in Hawaii.
For someone who constantly rants about the climate, he sure likes buying real estate right by the water.
