Chanel, Gen Z & Glazed Donuts🍩
This Week in Review☕: Marketing on the Moon is the new normal | McDonalds to start selling Krispy Kreme in expansion plan | The Pain of 'Tech Neck' | Chanel increases price even further | Side Hustles
Quick Bites:
Food 🍩 : McDonald's to start selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts in its locations, starting later this year.
Oh goodie, we always hated having to pause our foodcoma to drive to a separate location and get our Krispy on 💯
PS. Why don't they just start selling Ozempic at the same time? One-stop shopping..
Through this partnership:
McDonalds, the largest fast-food chain in the US, will get "a chance to unlock new opportunities in the breakfast category".
The deal is part of the burger chain's aggressive expansion plan, which includes opening 900 new locations in the US this year, CNBC.
Umm did the McD's CEO just say breakfast...? LMAO
Meanwhile, Krispy Kreme will get a chance to "double its points of access", a strategy that has seen their doughnuts sold in almost 7,000 third-party stores already.
Krispy Kreme, which filed for an IPO in 2021, claimed it had it's best year ever during the pandemic. The company sold 1.3 billion donuts in 2020 and generated over $ 1billion in net revenue.
And millions gained weight and became fat af. Hello, Insulin 💉
Krispy Kreme saw its stock shoot up by almost 40% after the partnership was announced. The company always claimed it's not a restaurant but "an affordable indulgence".
White flour, heart-stopping saturated fat, corn syrup, sugar- and deep fried to boot.. Yep, indulgence on the hips right there 😬
Nosh on a couple chocolate-frosted donuts with your iced coffee and you've reached your yearly fat quota before noon on a damn Tuesday 🤯🤯
Our Thoughts💡: Personally, we're thrilled about this partnership.. Diabetes with a side of diabetes is exactly what the world needs right now
PS. That McDonald's Egg McMuffin/ Original Glazed combo gonna be unreal!! 🤤
Work 💻 : Gen Z is into a side hustle.
The younger generation is spending more time on additional jobs outside of work to make more money and pursue their passion, The Washington Post reports.
When old people don't understand is that trying to have a "good day" for any young adult costs $150 per day
Office loyalty going down, combined with mass layoffs and the cost of living crisis, have added to this growing trend.
Umm no shit kids office loyalty is going to sh*t .. Things we hate about our job:
1. Getting out of bed
2. People
3. Working Tomorrow
PS. We're calling in sick because we have gluteal glaucoma.. We can't see our a** coming into work
Side hustles, particularly like social media brand deals and freelance consulting, has become popular amongst Gen Z to increase their income.
The internet has also made it easier than ever to start a new business, especially for those who have grown up in the world of digital media, WSJ reports.
Our Thoughts💡: Ok, we're gonna call it like it is.. A "side hustle" is actually a super adorable name for mandatory extra jobs we have because being alive in today's economy is effing expensive
Like $20 for a basic whole milk cappuccino and a smashed avo toast? Stay strong Gen Z 🙏🏻
Health 💊 : Looking at your phone could give you chronic pain- and wrinkles. It's called 'The Tech Neck'.
“Tech neck” is a term used to describe frequent neck and shoulder pain that results from bending of the neck in order to look at screens for long hours at a stretch.
This includes electronics like mobile phones, computers, tablets and handheld gaming devices, NBC News reports.
So sad that young kids today spend so much time online and are getting chronic diseases.. When we were young, we were always in the garden throwing mud at each other, smoking, lighting small fires, stealing car hood junk, shoplifting, trying sambuca.. one time we drank too much gasoline ⛽️⛽️⛽️
Healthy times
PS. We're officially quitting social media. We spend too much time online. Take care everyone. We will be back in 10 mins ✌🏻
On a medical level, “tech neck” is basically pain that stems from prolonged stress on the cervical spine, otherwise known as the bones that make up the neck.
It comes from poor posture and constantly pushing your head and shoulders forward, an action known as "anterior head carriage".
This results in symptoms like chronic neck pain, joint stiffness, a burning feeling in the shoulders and headaches.
Our Thoughts💡: This is personally relatable and a great reminder to get off the couch..
And sometimes, we do enjoy dressing up and going out to meet people, but dear God, is there a simpler joy on this planet other than watching Netflix, sitting ugly and bra-less, comfy in extra-large pjs and covered in corn chip crumbs… !!😍😍😍
10/10 highly recommend💯
PS. We’d also like to point out: Every 50 seconds somewhere on the internet, is a post that says "Doing (insert activity here) could give you (insert disease, side effect or heart attack here)"👇🏻
Luxury 👛: Chanel increases prices even further.
A classic Chanel flap bag has broken the €10,000 ($10,820) threshold for the first time in Paris.
Chanel has lifted the price tag of its iconic bag to €10,300 in the French capital despite weakening demand, Bloomberg Pursuits reports.
Us finding out Chanel had another price increase before we even get to Paris this summer. Ok our mom's getting Coach this year because we out 🖕🏻
2 years ago, Chanel made headlines for increasing the price of their classic 2.55 bag from $5200 in 2019 to $8200 by 2022. Today, it is making headlines for pushing that price even further.
"The best things in life are free. The second best things are very, very expensive"

The startup is sending its spaceship to the moon in 2026 and has already made a deal with the famous creative-community network called 'Group of Humans'.
