Quick Bites:
Retail 🛍 : Amazon confirms a 2nd Prime Day this year for the first time ever. The sale will take place on 11th & 12th October.
Personally we're thrilled. It's never too early to start buying crap we don't need. 'Tis the season to be a PRIME MEMBER 🎉
Every year, Amazon holds Prime Day; a two-day discount event famous for having shattered Black Friday & Cyber Monday records combined.
Those are some serious numbers guys .. We've witnessed stores left looking more like battlefields when Black Friday frenzy takes over.. Those sale shoppers ain't messin'
The announcement of a second 48-hour deal extravaganza this year has a mixed response.
According to Bloomberg, some brands are excited to reach budget shoppers, especially those impacted by the cost-of-living crisis.
Brands are also thrilled to kickstart the festive shopping window earlier.
Others, however, have felt blindsided by the short notice.
The truth is that as shopping accelerated online during Covid, the face of Amazon addiction has become far less about the bored suburban housewife, and more about anyone who can't help themselves away from that one-click ordering button
Why else would Amazon Prime give you 20% off body wash and dog treats and you buy.
But, the S&P 500 is giving you 20% off to financial independence but you still don't buy... ?
It's called: The Unsettling Psychology of an AMAZON PRIME ADDICTION🙈
Our Thoughts💡: On a side note, with Prime day around the corner, there'll be deals on sale for meaty savings.
Like Thanksgiving leftovers, you can't enjoy Pumpkin Pie & Turkey-everything bliss forever, so gram em' while you can. There's no knowing how long they'll last..
Culture📈: The cost-of-living-crisis might affect your social life.
The rising cost of living means many are cutting back on non-essentials, such as eating out or cultural activities, according to The Guardian.
Biggest cost of living crisis in a generation but we're still spending $7 on Starbucks God
Brace yourselves, kids. Not meeting your friends because you LITERALLY can’t afford it is going to be a reality for many very soon.
However, health experts warn this could lead to depression and loneliness. Infact, recent research suggests loneliness can age us as fast as smoking.
Folks already have to deal with higher food prices, a choppy stock market, unchecked illegal immigration, sky-high electricity bills and a proxy war in Europe.
And to top it off, we're now gonna have a sagging face, puffy eyes, premature hair loss and a mouth that keeps going down, down and down...
FML 😭
Our Thoughts💡: If you thought a lack of social life can only impact your mind, think again because it can also affect your waistline.
Trouble is, those on benefits with no money always seem to have enough to eat at McDonalds.. ie. the rich get richer and the poor get fatter

Health 💊 : New drug called 'Lecanemab' found to slow Alzheimer's.
A clinical trial of the drug showed that it slowed the rate of cognitive decline in early-stage patients by 27% after 18 months.
It is also the 1st time any drug has shown to have an effect on the neurological disorder, The Guardian.
“This is a historic moment for dementia research [..] Many people feel Alzheimer’s is an inevitable part of ageing. This spells it out: if you intervene early you can make an impact on how people progress.”
-Dr Susan Kohlhaas, the director of research at Alzheimer’s Research UK
According to the Guardian, researchers will now look to continue the positive trajectory beyond 18 months, with manufacturers hoping to apply for regulatory approval in the US and Europe by the end of 2022.
Our Thoughts💡: The only time Alzheimers sounds like a treat?
