Rapper Jay-Z has sold 50% of his Champagne brand Armand de Brignac, also known as "Ace of Spades" to LVMH.
The amount has not been disclosed but it is estimated to be $250mn. Jay-Z bought the company in 2014 for $30mn.

That's called flippin' the dough for real 

LVMH, which owns Dom Pérignon and Moët & Chandon, has been trying to appeal to a wider clientele after receiving increasing flak for cultural appropriation, racial prejudice and a lack of diversity, CNN reports.

The American artist has previously denounced the brand 'Cristal' as being racist, as evident in his song:

I used to drink Cristal, the muhfu***rs racist

Jay-Z on the deal with LVMH: “Today is a happy day and I feel very vindicated,”  But America still has a “long way to go towards inclusivity,” he says.
