Juicy Steaks & Boba Tea are on the menu🧋
This Week in Review☕️: Food makers come under pressure to remove all artificial, processed colors | 3D-printed food is the new normal | Women fight for equal pay | Major Stock selloff after recession
Quick Bites:
Food🍫: Food makers are looking to remove fake colors from processed snacks.
Growing consumer demand for natural products is stirring a sense of urgency across the packaged food industry, Bloomberg reports.
Umm if a chip isn't fiery red, how will we know its spicy? Like this news is all well and good but recreating XXtra Flamin' Hot Crunchy Buffalo Cheetos is kinda difficult guys 😵💫
FYI: A food is processed if:
It contains corn, artificial colors, emulsifiers, sweeteners, seed oils, MSG, preservatives, BHAs, BTAs, sodium benzoate, wheat, gluten or soy. AND if it has more than 3 ingredients or can be purchased at a gas station.
Meanhwile, us just crushin up these tums to sprinkle on our pepperoni pizza like parmesan cheese👇🏻
Lookin forward to our f**king forties🙌🏻
Key Highlights, reported by Bloomberg Business:
💡Major brands are additionally under pressure due to recent regulatory changes; The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has banned "Red Dye No.3"
💡Certain artificial colors like Red No.3 have been linked to cancer in animal studies, requiring removal from foods by January 2027
💡This has been further fueled by the "Make America Healthy Again" movement championed by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr
💡The argument follows what health advocates globally have been saying for years: That synthetic colors add nothing to taste, nutritional value or shelf life but make unhealthy foods more visually appealing.
💡Worst of all, there are concerns that the dyes may be carcinogenic or trigger hyperactivity in some kids
Tbh we have 100 cookbooks written by real chefs but every night we google "food weeknight dinner fast" and make a recipe from a blog we will never visit again called like "Parsnips and Cowlicks" or "Girl with a spatula" or "Hearts of Palm"
The response:
PepsiCo has been the first one to jump on this shift.
The company is reformulating products to get rid of synthetic dyes by launching a new line of chips called "Simply Ruffles Hot & Spicy".
These are made with natural ingredients like tomato powder and red chile pepper instead of artificial dyes.
PS. The chips are not flaming red. They’re orangish and speckled with spices, but placed next to the famous Ruffles Flamin’ Hots, these chips are basically beige.
Our Thoughts💡:
Us after watching 1 episode of Food Network on Youtube:
We are extra clean, unprocessed eaters:
Below is a certified organic puréed nut butter spread with a grape relish reduction paired with a brioche bun 👇🏻
Big Tech 🥩 : Rib Eye, T-Bone, Porterhouse, Filet Mignon, Top Sirloin, Flank Steak, Beef Chuck Primal Cut.
Juicy steaks are on the menu this year- but from a 3D Printer.
Umm we see lots of ppl on social media calling 3D meat “disturbing”
Hmm but the same peeps will eat juiced-up chickens shot with antibiotics and hormonal injections who grow 5x the size in half the time as natural chickens, living in filth and stress, slaughtered and packaged in plastics in factories that fail safety requirements; but soy protein isolate and flavoring pushed through a nozzle is “disturbing” 🤔
Visitors to the annual “Mobile World Congress” in Barcelona sampled Novameat's plant-based meat alternative this week, with many stating it tasted like real meat.
Will 3D-printed food become the new normal in 2025?
Background💡: 3D-printed meat is not actually meat from animals. Instead, it is made from plant based ingredients that are carefully designed to look, feel, and taste like real meat.
A company called “Novameat” has developed a special 3D printer that creates this meat layer by layer, giving it the texture of real meat products like burger patties and taco fillings.
Our Thoughts💡: Imagine going to the butcher asking for meat, and he goes like: Wait lemme print you a slab of ribs lmao
💡3D Printing: The Future
💡Steak: Delicious
💡Vegan Steak: Oxymoron
💡Us: Confused, but intrigued
Culture 🌍 : Women shared bold words of wisdom on International Women's Day.
Celebrated this past Saturday on March 8, the annual day embraced the UN's theme: "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment."
March 8: The one day out of 365 when we honor half the planet
This day amplified the voices of women worldwide and many prominent women shared messages such as:
Meghan Markle posted a heartfelt tribute, stating, "Here's to strong women: May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them."
Rihanna shared intimate photos with her children, expressing, "Being a mother is the most powerful experience I've ever had. My little miracles remind me daily of the strength we women hold."
Princess Kate honored the late young photographer Liz Hatton, highlighting, "Liz's resilience and passion continue to inspire us all. Her legacy reminds us of the profound impact of courage and creativity."
While the day is an opportunity to reflect on women’s achievements, it's also a chance to highlight the progress to be made:
Women make up nearly half the global workforce, but just 1/3 of roles at the VP-level and above, according to the latest Linkedin data.
Because currently there is NO country in the world where a woman earns as much as a man for the doing the exact same job. So thanks for that
Our Thoughts💡:
On the topic of womens day, sexism and equal rights..
We personally believe Cinderlla should have lived a happy life with all her animal friends rather than settle for a man who had her try on a damn shoe bc he didn't regonize her without makeup 🖕🏻
Bottomline: WOMEN ARE PERFECT AS THEY ARE. 👏
Food & Drink 🧋: The global bubble tea market is blowing up in 2025, driven by increasing demand for customizable beverages.

The drink, which originated from Taiwan in the late 80s, has surged in popularity around the world.
Tapioca pearls- the soft, chewy balls the drink is known for, are now America's top food import from Taiwan.
Gen Z is driving the demand for Bubble Tea Milk, as evidenced by South Asia spending $3.7 billion on launching ‘milk tea’ and similar drinks in 2022.
Key Highlights:
💡Social Media: This trend has primarily been fueled by TikTok and Korean entertainment, as well as the drinks visually appealing nature
💡Market: The segment for black tea is expected to have the biggest share of the market, followed by green tea
💡Health-Conscious Trends: The introduction of healthier options, such as low-sugar and plant-based milk alternatives, aligns with a growing focus on wellness
💡Global Expansion: Brands like Mixue from China have rapidly expanded, boasting 45,000 stores by the end of 2024, and are now venturing into international markets
Like Starbucks, bubble tea comes in a range of flavors and combinations.
You can pair your favorite milk tea with:
-Fresh fruit (mulberry, grapefruit, strawberry, orange)
-Honey drizzle
-Berry compote
-Various bubbles (the original dark tapioca balls, crystal, cactus, taro and more)
-Special additions (red beans, chunks of flavored gelatin, or even a topping of cream cheese foam) and
-Various levels of sweetness and iciness
Our Thoughts💡: Y'all so late. We been sipping chai bobas in NYC since 2010 😎
Personally we still love Bubble Tea. The only con? Its the ONLY drink that makes you work for those calories- one giant sip, and you’re out there chewing your beverage like its a full-course meal 🥤
