Quick Bites:
Marketing 💻: It's the year for unexpected brand collaborations.
Toffee nail polish? McDonald's Burger-themed Crocs? KFC creating chicken-scented shoes?
Unlikely brand partnerships are gaining traction, Adweek reports.
One of our favorite fashion moments HAS to be the 2017 Supreme x Louis Vuitton collab. It was a cultural reset. I swear, you couldn’t go ANYWHERE without seeing those damn hoodies 😬
According to Adweek, the average person is exposed to anywhere between 4,000 and 10,000 ads per day, making it tough for an ad to stand out.
Enter unexpected partnerships- which can cut through the noise and capture attention immediately.
One creative director says a successful collab has to "make a certain level of sense" but also deliver some "shock value."
Food giants like Kraft Heinz and Chipotle are jumping on this trend. Speaking of Kraft Heinz..
💡Chicken nuggets with caviar: $100.. BUT
💡Chicken Nuggets with Ranch & Ketchup?: PRICELESS 💯
PS. Ladies, if your picnic basket doesn't look like this this fall, do NOT go past the first date ✋
Some notable brand collaborations gaining global traction:
💡Dunkin Donuts x Scrub Daddy sponge
💡Chipotle x Wonderskin’s Lipotle lip stain
💡Lipton Ice Tea x Cruel Pancake clothing brand
💡Anya Hindmarch’s x Heinz Baked Beans ice cream
"Collaborating with all types of talent- from world-famous chefs to professional athletes- allows us to meet our community where they are and further build brand connection.”
-Denée Pearson, global brand president at NYX Professional Makeup

Our Thoughts💡: Personally, we feel bad for the influencers who have to keep up with these god awful brand collabs🤯
IG influencer: I'm trying to be productive this fall, I have more focus. I've been working very hard. I've been working out, doing yoga, reading books, I started writing again, I made sourdough bread and oatmeal raisin pancakes the other day, and I also-

Big Tech 👋 : Amazon ditches the "pre-meeting".
Umm thank god. In reality, the "pre-meeting" before the actual meeting is basically just an effective way to deliver terrible news to everyone at the same time
Boss: Let's schedule a meeting so I can pretend to want your input on how I can more proactively micromanage the shit out of you 🤬
Not only has Amazon mandated a 5-days return to office strategy starting from January 2025 but CEO Andy Jassy also wants to tackle productivity.
He has advocated getting rid of the "pre-meetings for the pre-meetings for the decision meetings".
This decision will allow employees to "move fast without unnecessary processes, meetings, mechanisms, and layers."
According to Bloomberg:
A recent study backs Jassy's decision for fewer meetings: It found that unnecessary meetings cost big companies $100 million annually.
In addition, cutting bureaucracy could add $4.8 trillion to US output.
Our Thoughts💡:
All employees: Umm we'd speak more in meetings if it didn't make them last longer.. because this 3-hour meeting on a Friday afternoon on a gorgeous fall day is almost as productive as a SINGLE, coherent email 🤬🤬🤬

Work Culture 👩🎤: Beyonce says she stopped overworking and it made her more successful.
"Now I work smarter."
How much of a smart worker are you?
Us: Umm we had to write 20,000 words for a research paper recently. On the first 20 pages, we decreased the line-to-line spacing 2 times, and just typed some random letters in between in a white font.
It worked. This is the smartest work we have ever done 😎
Beyonce once put her career before anything else, she recently told GQ. For years, the 43-year old subjected herself to exhausting red carpet appearances, award ceremonies, charting singles and stadium tours.
“There was a time when I was pushing myself to meet unrealistic deadlines, while not taking the time to enjoy the benefits of why I was working so hard,” she said.
Our Thoughts💡: Hmm seems like she's doing the right thing..
Staff: Maybe if we work hard, never take any holidays, and do things outside our job description, the company will notice and promote us 🙏🏻
Management: 👇🏻
Health ☕️: Drinking 3 or more cups of coffee or tea per day may protect heart health, CNN reports.
Moderate amounts of caffeine intake were associated with a lower risk of developing heart diseases.
CNN also recently reported that "Decaf is the hottest thing in coffee right now."
We just want to clarify: There is a time and place for decaf. Never and in the trash. 🖕🏻
Dk about you guys but Team Touristy can't survive without coffee.. We mfs sleepy and stressed out
Plenty of studies show a benefit from caffeine consumption; lower risk of abnormal heart rhythms, strokes and even Type 2 diabetes.
“These observations add to the growing body of evidence that caffeine, and commonly consumed natural substances that contain caffeine such as tea and coffee, may enhance cardiovascular health.”
-Dr. Gregory Marcus, Chief of cardiology and professor of medicine at University of California

Environment 🗑️ : California is officially banning plastic bags from grocery stores.
The Governor signed a bill into law this past Sunday that closes a loophole that allows plastic bag waste, LA Times reports.
Background💡: California had already banned thin plastic shopping bags at stores, but shoppers were allowed to buy bags made with thicker plastic that "made them reusable and recyclable."
“Plastic bags create pollution in our environment and break into microplastics that contaminate our drinking water and threaten our health”
Plastic bags are “one of the deadliest types of plastic to ocean wildlife”- LA Times
The new law will begin on January 1, 2026.
The ban is only on all plastic bags at the checkout counter, but excludes those used to wrap food; For example, wrap food that could get contaminated, such as meat.
