Quick Bites:
Real Estate🌍: The world gets a lot smaller when you're trying to find the 1% but look no further because the Middle East has arrived.
Dubai soars in ranking of the World's Best Markets for luxury property, Bloomberg reports.
While Dubai is known for it's souks and desert safaris, there's another type of eye candy native to the region: It's spectacular Real Estate- and it just got a lot pricier.
The city saw a 44% rise in property sales worth $10mn or more last year- the biggest jump in the world, according to real estate giant Knight Frank.
The response to the pandemic and new visa options have attracted those seeking a beachy lifestyle. Dubai has also developed a notorious reputation for catering to uber-rich foreign buyers causing demand for luxurious homes to skyrocket.
No gambling, No nudity (debatable), No drugs. Yet luxury at another level. Dubai showing the world what the future looks like
#Mahshallah 👌🏻
Dubai is now the World's 4th busiest luxury real estate market, only behind New York, Los Angeles and London. The city's home prices are expected to climb 13.5% this year.
Aspen and Tokyo are among the other places seeing the most growth, while Wellington in New Zealand had the biggest drop, according to Bloomberg.
Our Thoughts💡: Enough shop y'all... We just heard Mona Kattan is joining Dubai Bling! Oh it's UP
Grab the popcorn guys We have a Netflix marathon to get started!
Food🍫: Toberlone can no longer claim to be Swiss-made because the brand's US owner is moving some production out of Switzerland.
And while we're at it, Mars is made on Earth, so same rule should apply really
The chocolate bars, sold in over 100 countries, will lose the iconic Matterhorn mountain from its packaging as a result.
We been eating Toblerone for years and didn't even know there was a mountain, let alone a hidden bear on the logo. They'll be just fine.
PS. What we REALLY need is a chocolate bar that transforms belly fat into dopamine 🙏
Our Thoughts💡: Chocolate pancakes.. because breakfast is the most important meal of the day
On that note, say what you want but gotta give it to Americans for somehow convincing everyone that chocolate is perfectly acceptable for breakfast

Work💻: Have you or your spouse been impacted by high childcare costs?
More than 3 out of 4 UK mums have said it doesn't make financial sense for them to continue working due to high childcare fees.
1 in 3 parents said they have to rely on some form of debt, and 45% said they often choose between paying for childcare or household items, Bloomberg.
Women already have to deal with getting a seat at the table, the gender pay gap, 'that time of the month' bs, pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, micro-aggression, the list goes on. And to top it off, day nursery and nannies are now gonna cost 3x?
Thanks Rishi 🤬
According to new data from 'The Living Wage Foundation', more than 2 million working women are paid below the real living wage and overall, 60% of all low-paying jobs are held by women.
In addition, the UK ranks as one of the most expensive countries for childcarecausing not just a cost-of-living crisis but also a working crisis.
Our Thoughts💡: Also to point out- for mums running their own shop, it's common knowledge that female founders only get 2% of the total annual investment in start-ups globally.
Entrepreneurs (men or women) don't give a damn about you, me & the rest of the world.. They just move forward, relentlessly.
Which tbh, is great unless you're the overworked & underpaid mum making it happen. Especially with a newborn crying for your attention every second of every damn day 😩😩😩😩
Health🧀: Keto associated with higher risk of heart disease, CNN reports.
A low-carb, high-fat “keto-like” diet may be linked to higher levels of “bad” cholesterol and double the risk of cardiac issues such as blocked arteries, heart attacks and strokes, according to new research.
PS. It's only keto if it's from ketopia region of France. Otherwise it's sparkling sirloin 🥩
The study indicates keto is primarily harmful because it doubles the consumption of animal sources in comparison to other diets.
In addition, it bans healthy food such as fruits, legumes and whole grains. For example: On keto, you have to limit your carb intake to 20-40 a day. To put that into perspective, a large banana has around 31 carbs- that's a full day's allowance.
Key Highlights, reported by CNN:
💡Approximately 1 in 5 Americans report being on a low-carb, keto-like or full keto diet.
💡73% of participants were women- which supports the overall conclusion that women, in general, tend to follow more diets and are more inclined in changing their lifestyles.
💡The study also showed that people who do keto tend to do it intermittently for shorter periods of time.
Our Thoughts💡: Just had our first Chipotle Keto bowl today
A heaping splat of guac, cheddar, sour cream, red-chili salsa, chicken fajitas & 2-3 scattered lettuce.. So, you basically have to eat a godawful amount of daily calories from fat until you burn enough fat to enter 'ketosis'..
Yep.. doesn't make sense to us either 🤔
Climate Change❄️: Antarctic sea ice reaches lowest levels ever recorded.
"Everyone should be concerned about what's happening in Antarctica [..] because the continent holds enough ice to raise sea levels by many metres if it was to melt."
Our thoughts on the matter👇🏻
According to The Guardian, the amount of sea ice dropped to 1.92m sq km in February 2022- an all-time low based on satellite observations that started in 1979.
But by 12 February this year, the 2022 record had already been broken. The ice kept melting, reaching a new record low of 1.79m sq km.
To put that into perspective, that's an area double the size of Tasmania
This news comes as the UN recently reported that the World's most famous glaciers will vanish in the coming decades.
UNESCO data shows that 1/3 of glaciers at World Heritage sites are "very likely" doomed to melt by 2050, no matter what climate change measures are undertaken at this point.
“Antarctica might seem remote but changes around there can affect the global climate and the melting ice sheets affect coastal communities around the world”
-Dr. Ariaan Purich, a climate scientist
