Tech 📲 : Spotify announces it's rolling out a video-podcasting feature targeting creators.
"Spotify and its global reach is now officially in competition with YouTube's video podcast empire", Quartz writes.
The streaming platform has already invested $1bn in podcasting between exclusive deals and partnerships. But it now wants its users to not just listen, but watch too.
"If you're already creating video podcasts, you now have an entirely new distribution channel to reach a potential audience of 365 mn listeners."
-Spotify
Spotify’s lineup will include video podcasts from its originals like The Joe Rogan Experience to other video creators who will now publish on the platform, including Philip DeFranco and Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald, TechCrunch reports.
Hmm.. what if the next step is open commentary during a video podcast? Can you imagine if Joe Rogan allowed fans to chime in for a tête-à-tête?
Our Thoughts💡: Bold move by Spotify to go toe to toe with a video behemoth like YouTube.
Although.. we do like the option of media consumption in the hands of the user. What do y'all think? Should podcasts remain audio only?
Food 🥞 : As we step into the festive season of 2021, it's helpful to have new, healthy recipes revamp our kitchen arsenal!
With zero parties/ weddings/vacays last year, the closest we got to Holiday season was scrolling through Conde Nast on Instagram!
However, with vaccination rates increasing, the festivities are back- and so are the extra pounds!
The Washington Post comes up with new fruit toppings to jazz up cakes, pancakes and more!
Instead of using fat-shredding apps, weight-loss supplements and magic pills, indulge in the festive season with unrefined sugary sauces!
Top fruity flavors from the Washington Post:

💡Apple, Walnut and Figs with Mulled Wine Syrup 🍷 : This one is for the habitually drunk. Eat cake and get boozed up while you're at it! 🙌🏻
We know it can't just be us ruthlessly browsing on Food and Wine and The Weekend Mixologist in the middle of the night this time of year. Here's a recipe to bring in 2022 in the sweetest way possible!
💡Chai-Spiced Fruit Compote: tea + figs make the best topping for any yoghurt or ice cream!
💡Fruits in Port Wine Sauce: Expect fall fruits of apples and pears submerged in warm cinnamon. Add it to your morning oatmeal or chia pudding!
💡Balsamic-Poached Figs: Figs dipped in balsamic vinegar, french orange juice and spices.
No need for the time-honored tradition of eating ourselves into a Thanksgiving FoodComa with this recipe!
Light and delicious, dry fruit is our ultimate go-to this festive season!
Our Thoughts💡: In reality, WSJ is doing us a HUGE favor well ahead of time! The US shoves a sh*tload of sugar into everything because they have scientists who engineer food to be as addictive as possible.
Stinkin' rich CEOs then dismiss us as fat chumps on a sugar bender rather than owning up to their part in the global diabetes epidemic.
No wonder people gettin' porkier by the day!
Art 🖼 : Calling all art fanatics.. and billionaires! One of the spookiest Pope paintings could go for more than $40mn!
A Francis Bacon painting 'Pope with Owls' (ca. 1958) will make its auction debut next month.
The painting features a smiling Pope with two identical owls perched around his throne. (shown below)

Key Highlights, according to ARTNews:
💡Pope with Owls alludes to a portrait of Pope Innocent X by Diego Velázquez
💡Francis Bacon produced the work in the late 1950s during a 14-month stay in Morocco
💡During this time, the artist increasingly began to use a vivid color palette, with scarlet being a constant as the background
💡He also began to add mysterious figures like owls, considered to be 'ominous emblems'
According to ArtNews, If the painting fetches its high estimate, Pope with Owls will become one of the priciest works ever sold at Phillips, an auction house that has largely sold works for lower prices than its competitors Sotheby's and Christie's.
Andy Warhol’s Men in Her Life (1962), which sold for $63.3mn, currently holds the title for the most expensive work auctioned by Phillips.
Climate Change 🌎 : World leaders are currently gathered at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference #COP26.
This conference is meant to be the 'last chance' to come up with global solutions to save the environment.
Planet Earth to Humans: You hear me now?! 🔊
While #COP26 opened in Scotland this Sunday, another one ended in Rome where G20 leaders made vague statements, offering little-to-zero relief to climate change activists.
As Greta Thunberg, the poster child for Climate Change, states:
"History will judge you"
Hollywood x Real Estate 🏡 : Calling all Carter fans! Beyoncé and Jay-Z'S 'spooky' New Orleans mansion could be yours for $4.5mn.
Just during fall/Halloween season incase anyone wants a former church-turned mysterious mansion to throw parties!
Key Highlights from Vogue:
💡'La Casa de Castille' is registered under Beyonce's Parkwood Entertainment company, so we can assume this is one gem of the singer's vast real estate portfolio
💡It's a three-storey, 13,300 sq ft, Spanish Baroque-style property with 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms
💡The home was built in 1927 as a church and resides in New Orleans’ Historic Garden District on '1527 Harmony Street'
💡"It is ideal for the creative types that want large spaces and/or like to entertain.”
