Quick Bites:
Food 🌮 : Taco bell brings back old favorites to strengthen its brand among increasing competition.
The Mexican-inspired fast-food chain is bringing back menu items from its 20-year history, including its 1960s Tostada, its "Meximelt" from the '80s and the '90s-era "Gordita Supreme".
Us: Our stomach hurts and we dk why
Also, us: Yes, we'll have a cheesy Gordita Chicken crunch, a Chalupa Supreme and Nachos
Umm you guys really want a safe place in these crazy times? Go to Taco Bell. No judgement in there. Want to eat 5,000 calories in one go? Do it. Take a nap right after in the corner booth. One time we saw a lady come in and dump every single hot sauce packet into her purse. Noone said a damn thing. Thats how you live Mas.
PS. We're a simple startup. All we want is universal healthcare, student loan forgiveness and a beefy five-layer mexican burrito 🌯🙏🏻🙏🏻
CEO Sean Tresvant says he encourages his team to keep taking "big swings," knowing that not all ideas will be hits.
He also believes in tapping into nostalgia, as a powerful strategy to retain old customers and attract new ones.
“Be a black belt in your area, and a brown belt in everything else.”
Tbh, Brand awareness is one thing. Brand nostalgia is quite another.
We actually scoured the internet and saw that one of the biggest food trends from the past two years have been: Familiar Foods. Yep, fast food nostalgia searches are up 90% and will continue to rise in the coming year.
Old-school comfort foods that remind you of your childhood (think Mac & Cheese, Heinz Purple Ketchup and Vanilla Coke) are BACK.
A company capitalizing on the trend already is Kelloggs. Kellogg's is relaunching one of their Pop-Tarts flavors from the 90s- Frosted Grape- complete with grape-filled jelly, sugar frosting and purple sprinkles.
Sure, you could eat about 5 tablespoons of butter straight for that amount of saturated fat but hey, at 2 bucks a piece, it's a bargain 😬

Retail 📺 : TVs are trending for the holidays, APNews reports.
Despite high inflation, there remains at least one category where consumers are willing to splurge: TVs.
And no, we don't mean a 65- or 70-inch screen. Retailers are seeing supersize demand for XXL TVs, which are 97 inches or larger- that’s wider than a standard three-seat sofa or a king-size bed.
Sales were up 10x through September, compared with the same period last year, according to research firm Circana.
Companies are preparing for shoppers to go big for Christmas, Hanukkah and Thanksgiving as they believe it to be a growing category in an otherwise dead TV market, according to analysts.
Ofcourse TVs are dead. Gone are the times when you're watching TV with your parents in the living room and the characters decide to start making out and you dk where tf to look. THANK GOD 😬😬😬
💡Average starting teachers salary: $34,000
💡Average cable TV installer's salary: $42,000
PRIORITIES PEOPLE
According to AP News, the pandemic accelerated this trend as more people spent time at home.
Shipments of 98-inch TVs globally are picking up pace this year, and models as huge as 110-115 inches are on the market right now in a price range from $2,000 to $25,000.
Crypto 💰: Bitcoin nears $90K for the first time.
Bitcoin surged past $82,000 this week, setting a new record following Trump’s victory.
Trump has promised to "put the U.S. at the center of the digital-asset industry," per Bloomberg, with plans to include a strategic “National Bitcoin Reserve.”
Ok guys, when is it ONLY ok to split the bill with a girl?
1. When Bitcoin is under $30k.
2. When Bitcoin is under $30k
3. When her Tinder pics don't match her irl
4. When she order the lobster but you got a side salad
5. When you wanna be friend-zoned
Key Highlights, reported by Bloomberg:
💡Trump’s stance on Bitcoin has been a full 180-turn after he very publicly dismissed the cryptocurrency when he was in the White House during his last term
💡$BTC is up from its low of $38,505 this year
💡Crypto has been one of the “few Trump trades that has yet to retrace.”
💡Analysts expect crypto to continue to rise, with it expected to hit the $100,000 milestone by the end of this year
On the campaign trail, President-elect Donald Trump made grand promises to the crypto industry, including making the U.S. the “crypto capital of the planet.”
“Part of the reason is due to the anticipated cryptofriendly nature of Trump’s administration, which investors hope will translate into regulatory clarity in the U.S.”

Health ⌚️: Apple won’t launch a smart ring, says Tom Hale, the CEO of Oura. He says: “It’s hard to do”.
Despite speculation the Cupertino-based giant may be considering a move, Apple will not be entering this product category, CNBC reports.
“I think Apple is unconvinced about the value of having a ring and a watch together and they’re not interested in undercutting the Apple Watch as a business,” Hale told CNBC
“Apple is very much a focused company. They’re like: ‘We’ve put our bet on the watch. We’re gonna make the watch our platform.”
Key Highlights, reported by CNBC:
💡Under CEO Tim Cook, Apple has put a large focus on health apps & products
💡A smart ring is a wearable device full of sensors that can give the user information about things like their health, activity and sleep
💡They are lightweight and have a long battery life which makes them ideal for wearing all day, including when sleeping
💡A smartwatch, in comparison, may be less comfortable and so removed more frequently
Oura recently launched its next-generation Oura Ring 4 as competition in the wearable sector ramps up.
Politics 🇺🇸 : Speaking of Trump.. Donald Trump completed his battleground sweep as he won Arizona, reversing the state's blue trend.
The victory brought his entire electoral vote tally to 312.
Trump is President.. and Kamala isn't. Got it.
Yep, the people have spoken, time to move on accept the results. This is a CLEANSWEEP.
Key Highlights, reported by NBC News:
💡Arizona was a swing state Biden won in 2020
💡Since then, the once firmly GOP-controlled state has put into office a Democratic governor, two Democratic senators and other statewide elected officials
💡Despite Trump's campaign being largely outspent and out-organized in Arizona by the Harris campaign, Republicans did see an increase in voters this year
💡Arizona has been among one of the battlegrounds Trump visited least, being geographically separated from most of the rest of the swing states.
💡“Grand Canyon State voters are eager for President Trump to fix what Kamala Harris broke.”
💡Trump has also won the swing states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Nevada.
💡In 2020, Biden defeated Trump by winning 6 of the 7 swing states- he narrowly lost North Carolina- and won 306 electoral college votes to Trump’s 232.
💡Trump, who had secured the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the White House by early Wednesday, now has a final total of 312 votes to Harris’ 226.
