The Countdown Begins 🥂
This Week in Review ☕️ : The Worlds Most Visited Website in 2021 | The Metaverse heads to the skies | Kylie Cosmetics and Balenciaga | CDC shortens isolation period | Become antisocial on Social Media
Quick Bites:
Tech 📲 : The World's Most Visited Website in 2021- TikTok.
TikTok surpassed Google for the 1st time this year which "might be considered a Covid-driven surge in popularity", according to Quartz.
The fact that TikTok has dethroned Google is NUTS
Also, us after watching 12-year olds get paid for boogieing to Beyoncé while we we get ready for our fifth 10-hour shift this week👇🏻
The most visited websites globally, according to data company Cloudfare:
💡TikTok
💡Google
💡Facebook
💡Microsoft
💡Apple
💡Amazon
💡Netflix
💡YouTube
💡Twitter
💡WhatsApp
Our Thoughts💡: There's a new reigning champion of the internet- and one that's far more than a craze or new social experiment.
This one is like the novel Coronavirus- it's here to stay 🙏
Metaverse ✈️ : Boeing has vowed to create its next airplane in the metaverse.
Awesome, there's nowhere we feel quite as home as in the skies ⛅️
The idea is to "unify sprawling design, production and airline services operations under a single digital ecosystem," Reuters reports.
A vision that could materialize in as little as 2 years, this would give mechanics the chance to collaborate on projects as the aviation company hopes for a turnaround after a rocky few years.
“Boeing recently tapped veteran engineer Linda Hapgood to oversee the "digital transformation."
Hapgood is best known for turning paper drawings of airplanes into 3D images, and then outfitting mechanics with tablets and AR headsets.
We need more than one woman to help companies like Boeing think and create!

Our Thoughts💡: Boeing must head to the virtual world. Why? Because their future frequent fliers are already there.
Young people don't need to fly anymore. They just head to the metaverse 🚀
Pandemic 🦠 : The CDC shortens Covid-19 isolation period to 5 days from 10 days, CNN reports.
CDC shortens isolation requirement to "Whatever the f** your boss wants"
Let's be honest: this is only because companies want workers back on the clock
As long as you isolate for 15 mins after a 6-hour shift and for 30 mins after a 10-hour shift, you're fine 👋
This is due to "growing evidence that people with Covid-19 are most infectious in the 2 days before and 3 days after symptoms develop."
Asymptomatic people can now safely resume going out with masks 5 days after they test positive.
Our Thoughts💡: CDC officials shortened isolation citing imaginary "science" while Joe Biden confessed there is "no federal solution" to Covid-19.
On the same day. At the same time.
Is there anyone, absolutely anyone, that believes this isn't the greatest con in the history of mankind?! 😨
Fashion 💄 : The latest trend: being anti-social on social media.
Kylie Cosmetics and Balenciaga are the latest brands to wipe out their social media accounts ahead of a major launch, Business of Fashion reports.
This comes after British cosmetics retailer 'Lush' went dark om social media.
Lush deleted its accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok until tech companies offer users "a safer environment".
"We do not want to pay to appear in your newsfeed."- Lush
Our Thoughts💡: Deleting social media could be strategic for more exclusive, luxury brands.
Personally, we don't think Kylie Cosmetics fits that bill. Its way less exclusive than Balenciaga, and taking a hiatus feels like a forced pretentious stunt.. pretty much like everything else the Kardashians/Jenners do
PS. Gotta admit Kylie's 'Iced Latte Lip Liner' is bomb tho 🙌🏻
Quicker Bites:
Weather, pandemic combined lead to over a 1000 flight cancellations.
Biden says 'more work to do' amid testing scramble.
Newcastle United hosts Manchester United at St. James Park.
The Africa Cup of Nations due to be held in January 2022 has been indefinitely postponed.
Fauci expects daily Covid-19 infections to rise 'much higher'.
