Quick Bites:
Sports🤸🏻♂️: Olympics audience biggest since 2012, Axios reports.
28.6 million people tuned in to the Paris Olympics opening ceremony on NBC and the Peacock streaming service.
This is the largest viewership for the event since the London Olympics in ‘12.
Guys, there are SO many events that we didn't know were Olympic sports! Makes us wonder if we're unknowingly training for thE 2028 games, we mean we do floss VERY quickly ☺️
The highly-anticipated ceremony kicked off by featuring a headless Marie Antoinette in a gruesome skit. Performers dressed in crimson lined the banks of River Seine, holding severed heads with gojira, flames and heavy metal music in the background.
Yep, thats what happens when the French are in charge. It’s the CRAZIEST shit we've ever seen and also the most french opening we could've ever imagined. Only thing that could've made it more french is if a protest broke out
Key Highlights, reported by Axios:
💡The Tokyo Summer Games in 2021 drew just 17.9 million viewers for its opening ceremony, a 33-year low
💡NBC is under massive pressure to deliver big ratings for the Olympics, given how much they have splurged for the Games over a long-term contract
💡Executives claim the company has made more than $1.2 billion on advertising
💡In a statement, NBC Sports said brands advertising during the opening ceremony generated +320% greater search volume than brands during the Tokyo opening ceremony
💡The opening ceremony is typically a reliable indicator of how well the Olympics will do on TV over the following 2 weeks of competition.
💡The Paris Olympics kicked off July 26 and will close August 11
Despite heavy rainfall, there was no dampening the excitement as 100 boats carrying more than 10,000 athletes made their way down the River Seine. Rain is expected to continue.
Hmm we guess some athletes will leave Paris with gold, some with silver, some with bronze.. and some with hypothermia 🤒🤒🤒
Our Thoughts💡:
Paris Summer Olympics☀️: Who can swim the fastest? Who can run the fastest? Who can jump the highest?
Winter Olympics ❄️: WHO CAN MAKE IT TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS ICE SLIDE OF SUICIDE AND SURVIVE?? WHO CAN GET AROUND THE SKATING RINK WITHOUT GETTING THEIR FINGERS SLICED OFF BY EVERYONE ELSE'S FEET BLADES?? WHO CAN DO A BACKFLIP WITHOUT DROPPING DEAD??
Finance 💰: Calling all crypto fans!
Donald Trump claims he will make "the US will be crypto capital of the planet and the bitcoin superpower of the world" as he courts crypto industry votes and donations.
This is a full 180-turn after the presidential candidate very publicly dismissed bitcoin when he was in the White House, CNBC reports.
People call crypto a scam but we been using $100 Neutrogena's Rapid Wrinkle Cream for 6 months and we still aging like a raisin scone 🤯
Our parents friends' be commenting: "You don't look your age"
OK SO WHAT TF DO YOU WANT US TO DO MELANIE??????!!!!!!! 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
Key Highlights from Trump headlining the biggest crypto conference in Nashville this past weekend:
“Bitcoin probably overtakes gold”
“Never sell your bitcoin”
“Bitcoiners saw inflation before anyone else”
“Danger to the dollar comes from Washington not Bitcoin”
Why is Trump supporting Bitcoin now? reported by CNBC:
💡Crypto lobbyists have become more prominent in Washington
💡Trump has raised more than $4 million via cryptocurrencies
💡Crypto billionaire twins and venture investors 'Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss' led the charge, each contributing 15.57 bitcoin, or just over $1 million
💡There are also a number of other VC's who are pro-crypto, and they’ve pledged millions to the Trump campaign
💡The Republican presidential nominee also held an accompanying fundraiser in Nashville, with tickets topping out at $844,600

Pessimist: The glass is half empty
Bitcoiner: The water is totally centralized
Food🥙: Tired of measly Chipotle bowls?
Chipotle is “doubling down” on training its staff to serve larger portions, following social media complaints against the Mexican grill over smaller servings, NBC reports.
Yep that's right, not all heroes wear capes
Portions need to be according to the "right standards": The required 2 generous scoops of rice and 4 ounces of meat.
While the company is making sure its diners are getting larger portions, meeting these standards will cost the burrito chain an extra $50 million.
Seems like Chipotle isn't playing this time y'all!

Recently, many bloggers posted videos to TikTok and Instagram complaining about Chipotle portions.
Food influencer "Keith Lee" made a video for his 16.3 million followers in May doing a taste test review of three items on the menu.
In that video, he complained about the lack of chicken in his bowl, NBC news.
Our Thoughts💡: Umm we never understood why employees serve you food like its coming out of their damn pocket. When we worked at the hotdog stand at AMC during our time in NYU, we made damn sure everyone got more than their money's worth.
i.e An extra extra DOLLOP of ketchup, mustard, mayo, onions, chili and spicy coleslaw. Sauerkraut and pickle relish for peeps that tipped 🌭🌭🌭
Health 🩸: New blood tests could be "absolutely transformational" to cure Alzheimer's disease, CNN reports.
A new combined blood test has a 90% accuracy rate in determining whether memory loss is due to Alzheimer's, a study has found. Researchers hope it could soon lead to speedier diagnoses and treatment.
Alzheimers is NO joke.
We forgot what we were gonna type 😫
Our grandma is in the final stage of her life, 99% non-verbal with Alzheimers, but bad gal riri just came on the radio and she looked us straight in the eye and said "turn that off" ✋
In comparison, doctors only have a 61% accuracy rate to identify the disease, according to the study.
"We'd love to have a blood test that can be used in a primary care physician's office functioning like a cholesterol test but for Alzheimer's"
-Dr. Maria Carrillo, chief science officer of the Alzheimer's Association.
Our Thoughts💡:
The only time Alzheimers sounds like a piece of cake..
When we think about our ex 😶🌫️😶🌫️
