Quick Bites:
Business 👧 : Last week, Forbes welcomed the newest member of the Women's Self-Made Billionaires Club: Rihanna!
Her net worth is an estimated $1.7bn, making her the wealthiest female musician in the world and 2nd to Oprah as the richest female entertainer.
RiRi's response: "God is Good" 👏 👏
According to Forbes, majority of her fortune comes from her beauty line 'Fenty Beauty'- which she owns 50% of (worth $1.4bn).
The remainder comes from her stake in the Savage x Fenty Lingerie brand, which is worth around $270mn + her earnings as a musician.

💡First of her name
💡Bajan Babe of Beauty
💡Skincare Sorceress
💡Commander of Cosmetics
💡Diva of Diamonds
💡Empress of the Universe
Our Thoughts💡: Britney is free. Rihanna is a billionaire. Reese Witherspoon is working with Blackstone. Madonna is still the Queen of Pop.
Our ladies crushin' it and we LOVE THAT!🙌🏻
PS. With Rihanna officially joining the club, this has to be the 1st time in music history with 3 billionaires on one track. Run this Town just hits different now!👇🏻
Food 🥬 : The Founder of the World's biggest plant-based meat company calls for tax on meat consumption, BBC reports.
Ethan Brown, CEO of multi-billion dollar "Beyond Meat" says a tax could help give vegan products an edge at the supermarket checkout as vegan products such as burger patties and sausages are pricier than meat.
Me n my bestie finding each other at the Beyond Meat section at CVS this AM 👇🏻
However, Brown predicts prices will drop in the future, mainly due to 3-year global deals with McDonalds and 'Yum! Brands', the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, BBC.
"For a few dollars at the centre of your plate, you can communicate what you're about, you don't have to go and buy that Tesla [..] you can start by just doing something really simple, which is changing the protein at centre of your plate,"
-Ethan Brown
Our Thoughts💡: Ok, so we can't drink, smoke, get high or eat our morning bacon?
Lets just suck all the joy outta life and wait for the theta variant to take us all out tf
Also, "Bad" taxes do make sense (cigarettes, booze, dope etc) but is eating meat "bad"?
Personally, we’re craving an all-American hotdog with sauerkraut, smoked cheese, dijon mustard and fried onions right about now
Fashion 🏎 : Calling all billionaires and oligarchs! Ferrari presents its first in-house fashion collection, live from Italy last week.
The launch marks a major step in Ferrari's new brand strategy, one of its biggest investments outside luxury supercars, CNN reports.
F1 and Fashion coming together is the collab we didn't know we wanted but desperately need!
Key Highlights:
💡Contemporary clothing with a touch of "couture"
💡80% of designs unisex with sizes from XXXS to XXXL
💡Price Range: $200 for basics upto $3500 for top-range coats
💡Collection has a "luxury" ethos
💡”We want to attract young people. Our targets are not just those who buy a Ferrari but also those you have awareness of the brand and of its values"
💡Ferrari also plans to open new restaurant in hometown Maranello with Michelin-starred Chef Massimo Bottura
Fitness 💪 : It's no secret that exercising regularly is good for your body but a new study confirms that it can be miraculous for the brain as well via neurogenesis.
According to the New York Times, 'White Matter'- which supports our brain cells and memory efficiency, was found to remodel itself when people became more physically active.
The need for fitness has become even important due to weight gain associated with the pandemic.
Data shows that since the onset of Covid-19, over 40% of US adults have gained weight- 29 lbs on average.
We mean, it definitely doesn't help that Krispy Kreme, Budweiser and Nathan's Hot Dogs are offering free doughnuts, beer and weiners to everyone who got the jam.
Which, tbh, is fantastic news for anyone who wants to avoid the virus but still has an obesity wish.
Our Thoughts💡:We recently started walking every morning before our daily Nespresso! Can personally vouch that it clears the cobwebs, eliminates the junk and sets the tone for the workday!
Hands down, the BEST 45 minutes of the day! 👟
Climate Change 🌎 : A Climate Change report signed by 195 countries claims the situation is a 'Code Red for Humanity', says UN Secretary General.
"We're in danger of going down in history as species that chose to monitor its own extinction."
Planet Earth to Humans: You hear me now?! 🔊
According to The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change:
💡Temperatures on Earth to rise by 1.5C in the next 2 decades
💡A 2m rise in sea levels "cannot be ruled out"
💡Since 1970, global temperatures have risen faster than in any other 50-year period over the past 2,000 years
💡Boris Johnson says "wake-up call for the world to take action now"
