If any of you have lived/ currently live in New York City- you’d know Times Square is ALWAYS packed with people, no matter the time of day!
From jammed subways carrying the morning crowd to Broadway theater buffs🎭 to the whopping 1 million people that gather in the Square on New Years for the famous Ball Drop- Times Square was simply not meant for solitude .
Before the pandemic- A record 330,000 number of people used to pass Times Square daily & 50 million annually (most of which were tourists).
Now with social distancing guidelines in a place, the thought of hitting Times Square to check out Madame Tussauds or eat the famous Joe’s Pizza on 1435 Broadway seem like a distant dream.
While NYC has made it to Phase 4 of it’s reopening, the lights in the usually-bustling Times Square remain dark in a city that’s been hit hard by the Coronavirus.
This comes as President Trump conceded to the ravaging effects of the virus as recent as 24 hours ago stating: the pandemic will “get worse before it gets better”.
