️Quick Bites :
Sports x NFTs 🏈 : Looks like Football legends are the latest to cash in on the NFT craze. Tom Brady is launching an NFT company called Autograph.
The company will "bring together some of the world's most iconic names and brands [..] to ideate, create and launch NFTs".
NFT: Non Fungible Token
Tom Brady: NFT? Yeah I'm familiar with the National Football Teague
Besides Brady, Peyton and Eli Manning are the latest football legends to join the market as they debut a collection of their own NFTs next week.
According to Forbes:
💡The Manning brothers will debut 8 digital art pieces, called 'The Manning Legacy Collection'
💡This will include the infamous Super Bowl pass
💡The works will pay tribute to iconic moments in their careers from Eli's famous pass to David Tyree in Super Bowl XLII and Peyton's classic "Omaha" catchphrase
💡The brothers have enlisted JK5 and Micah Johnson to design & product the NFTs
Our Thoughts💡: NFTs are a hot commodity indeed. A few celebs to validate the Future being Non-Fungible 👇🏻
💡Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's 1st tweet "just setting up my twttr" is a coveted NFT up for auction. Current price is $2.5mn. Any buyers?
💡Lindsay Lohan sells her 1st NFT for $57,290
💡Paris Hilton is "excited to release her own NFT"
💡DJ Steve Aoki sells NFTS of his new music and visual art
💡Mark Cuban joined the market early and is known to sell NFTs of +$80,000
💡Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong is releasing his own music NFT
Culture 💄 :Kim Kardashian officially adds 'Billionaire' to her resume. The reality star is now worth $1bn, up from $780mn back in October, earning her a spot on Forbes' Billionaires List.
Ok, so Kim K is officially a billionaire when she started life already as a millionaire, and we got out off the couch today when we started on the couch. Same effort.
PS. Can we go one damn day without a Kardashian update?!
Forbes is citing her two businesses- Shapewear line Skims and Cosmetics line KKW Beauty + her income from 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' for putting her on the list.
We just wanna know: How much did Ryan Seacrest make off their show? Thats our no.1 question!
Age they become a billionaire:
💡Kylie Jenner (21)
💡J.K Rowling (38)
💡Kim Kardashian (40)
💡Sara Blakely (41)
💡Sheryl Sandberg (44)
💡Oprah Winfrey (49)
As Kim herself says: "Not bad for a girl with no talent"
Big Tech 📲 : In an an exclusive interview with Toronto Star, Apple CEO Tim Cook says the company is rolling out a new privacy feature as "The current situation is urgent."
"We know there's more information about you on your phone than there is in your house."
This new feature will require apps to get permission from users before tracking their data across other apps or websites.
Looks like the Cupertino-based giant wants to drop its’ peeping Toms image with App Tracking transparency.
Our Thoughts💡: Just recently, we were discussing buying a new car with our colleagues while browsing on Instagram. Suddenly, out of nowhere! , IG started displaying a red Toyota Camry with 17-inch alloy wheels and leather-trimmed front seats..
Then, we "coincidentally" came across a Subaru, Hyundai, Nissan, Ford, Fiat and so on.. Basically, car ads for local dealers near us.
Of course, the current situation sucks.
Art 🎨 : Seems like Dubai is more than just a Party haven during the ongoing pandemic. It's becoming an Art haven too.
Art Dubai, the 1st in-person major event since the onset of Covid-19, proves that art collectors are ready to get back in the game.
Dealers reported significant sales from the fair's first day which was a mix of works by established and emerging artists with a focus on the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, ArtNews reports.
Despite the success, there were no glasses of fizz this year. Or the feeling of being elbowed by rich shoppers while gulping down on complimentary Cristal.
Instead, there were social distancing measures and mandatory PCR tests.
“Dubai, without a doubt, is going to be the center of the world because many big cities are falling apart.”
“People have discovered that Dubai is a more sophisticated place than they expected.”
Climate x Superyachts 🛳 :Calling all Oligarchs and Billionaires!
Atomic Superyacht called 'Earth 300' to offer a 10-day grand tour of the seas.
The only problem? It'll cost you 3 million dollars.
To be fair, there really is no other eco-friendly way for billionaires to power their Luxury Yachts except for nuclear power.. Oh wait
Dubbed the floating "Opera of Science", the ship is almost 300m long- easily making it the largest superyacht ever built.
Earth 300 will be able to accommodate 425 people including a handful of rich tourists who will be housed in luxury suites, Bloomberg reports.
Designed by superyacht specialist Ivan Salas Jefferson, imagine the Batmobile- but in white and in the Mediterranean.
Equipped with 22 laboratories and run on Molten Salt Reactors, the nuclear-powered boat is changing the game of superyacht design as we know it.
‘We’re going to make science sexy, We’re going to spread the word and take ocean conservation where no one has been before."
Our Thoughts💡: So, some dude wants to help solve the Climate Crisis by building a Tony Stark-meets-Tim Cook fitting boat for billionaires to cruise on?!
